I would definitely be on LIVE WITH KELLYI absolutely adore her :)She's such a cutie pie!! 2. What is the best thing you have ever bought from a yard/garage sale?
I've never bought anything from a yard sale.Not that I wouldn't!I've just never been one to wake up super early on Saturdays and go find yard sales.
3. Do you still have friends whom you went to high school with?I have a few actually! My best friend and roommate and I have actually been friends since the middle school days!But I have a good number of friends I met when I was in high school(s)seeing as how I went to two of them.That I'm still friends with today :)
4. Do you have any scars? If so, share the stories behind them.I don't really have any "cool" scars.I do have one scar on my left elbow from when I was riding my bike and fell off of it. It hit asphalt and rock.So there are darker spots where the rock was stuck.Gross I know lol.I also have a place on my knee from where I fell on broken glassMy knee hit a large piece and it went all the way in.Luckily it didn't hurt anything but my skin!
5. If you had to eat one thing/meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? 

Macaroni.

Let me just start by saying, children, at my point in life right now, is almost like a cuss word.

For me, I'm no where NEAR having kids right now. And I don't think I will be for a while.

But other people's children M.E.L.T my heart :)

They are so freaking adorable!!

My friend Cassie has this beautiful little boy T.D. He's two and such a cutie :)

She dresses him like a little man! And he has this adorable little comb over hair style.

And his smile... don't even get me started. I could just kiss that little boy all day!

And he LOVES kisses! He always wants me to hold him and then he grabs my face and plants a big one right one the lips and then pulls back and giggles forever. And then he does it again and again. It's the cutest thing!

And she had this baby girl about 2 months ago. She is so tiny! But absolutely beautiful! And she isn't a fussy baby at all. I love when I get to hold her she just lays there and looks around or sleeps. CUTIE!

Her big brother T.D. loves holding her and kissing her. The two of them together are just the sweetest thing!

Then there are the cutie pie little cousins I have! They're all 7 and under (except us older kids)
And they are too freaking cute! They all love us older cousins and always run and jump into our arms while yelling our names in excitement whenever we come over or have family get togethers :)

Then there are the kids in my Children's Church class at church. I opted out of doing it this year but I still love seeing them and getting hugs from them whenever they come into the service for their Children's choir. I had the 3 & 4 year olds. LOVE EM!!

And let's not forget all the absolutely adorable little kids that come to my work! I work at a bank and if anyone remembers being a little kid and going through the drive thru lane at the bank was getting suckers. So I always make sure I give those little cuties suckers. And I absolutely love when they lean up or roll the window down and wave and yell "THANK YOU!!" It makes my day :)

I love children. But right now it's more of I love other people's children. They're great when they're being cute and sweet and loving. But when they scream, potty, make messes, or throw up... you can give them back :)

Maybe one day I'll have kids. Until that day I'm just going to spoil the heck out of everyone else's!

1. Did you have a favorite blanket or toy as a kid? If so, do you still have it??

I had a blanket and a teddy bear.

My blanket was blue and it was the one that used to hang on the back of my Pawpaw's chair.

He passed away and my mom and I moved.

So I got the blanket.

My teddy bear was one that I got in K5 for my birthday.

It was light brown and had red plaid pj's on.

And it came with a night light bc I was scared of the dark!

Sad to say I no longer have either of these :(

2. I love it when my _______ does ________.

"Guy I'm interested in"

Sends me a certain text.

We have this weirdo little game we play when we're bored.

He always texts me and says "tell me something"

and then I proceed to send him a random fact about myself that he wouldn't already know.

It's usually something no one ever really notices.

We go back and forth forever with this.

It's always funny with how random these texts are!

And whatever I tell him never goes along with what he sends me back lol.

It sounds silly but it makes my day :)

3. You're at a ball park. You have $5 in your pocket. You order...

I'm with Jessica on this one.

I LOVE either a hotdog or some good nachos and cheese!

But for me...diet coke lol

4. If you could have any celebrities 'voice' as the voice on your GPS, who would it be?

It would have to be gerard butler wit his irish accent.

That man is pure sexiness.

And his accent just makes him THAT much hotter.

5. Are you a messy sleeper or a neat sleeper?
Haha this is funny.

I'm definitely a messy sleeper.

Which cracks me up because I'm so OCD with neatness.

My bed is always made perfectly before I can get in it.

And when I go to sleep I lay on my side with the blankets perfectly flattened out and in perfect place.

Then when I wake up in the morning

my pillows are EVERYWHERE.

and the ends of my comforter are untucked and it's turned all sideways

My sheets are usually in a big ball at the end of the bed.

It's a mess haha!

Chivalry ... Dead?

This past weekend, I was upset.

I'm a single woman and very proud of it.

I'm also completely content with it.

But that's not to say I'm completey closed off to the idea of dating someone.

Because I'm not.

I'm great at relationships!

I love being in love.

But to my disappointment...

Chivalry is dead.

Men do not take the initiative to ask a woman out anymore!

What ever happened to approaching a woman.

Having a conversation with her.

Asking for her number.

Calling her a little while later and asking her out on a date?

I mean really guys?

And shame on you ladies for letting it happen this way!

Because of Social Networking these days..

Guys are more into "instant messaging"

Or whatever cop out way of asking a girl out.

And nine times out of ten they don't even ask you on a date.

It's more of a "Do you wanna hang out?" kinda thing.

Really guys?

Call me old fashioned but I believe in the phone call.

I believe in dinner and a movie dates.

I believe in the guy coming to pick the girl up.

I believe in a man opening and holding doors.... yes even car doors.

I believe in actually having conversation and getting to know each other.

And I DEFINITELY don't kiss on the first date.

I asked a guy friend what was up with guys now a days.

And he said "guys are scared of being turned down"

So what?

If a woman tells you no it's not the end of the world.

And it's definitely not the only answer you're going to get from every woman.

It just means she isn't worth your time so move on.

My single girl friends and I are in aggreance (sp?)

If we find a man attractive

And he were to be brave enough to approach us

initiate a conversation

and ask for our number

9 times out of 10...

he's gonna get the number.

So guys

MAN UP

and ladies...

Don't be so rude when a man approaches  you.

Even if you're not interested,

be polite to him please.

Don't ruin it for the rest of us who might actually say yes.

1. What style do you tend to lean towards when decorating your home?

Right now all the walls in our house are a pretty tan color. We have black/tan/red/and white in pretty much every room in including the bathroom and bedrooms. We have other colros throughout to make each room a little different both those colors are the common ones in every room. I mean with balck appliances, tan walls, and a red fron door what else could ya do? lol. But we absolutely love it! And that's how we probably would have decorated the house anyways!

2. I never leave the house without...

A drink in hand haha! I don't know why but I have to have something to drink in my car at all times! I mean of course I have my keys, purse, and cell phone but thats kind of a given. Drink of choice? Diet Mountain Dew :)

3. I love to pamper myself by...

-Manicures. LOVE EM

-Mary Kay

-New undies from VS (can you tell I'm weirdly obsessed with my underwear? haha)

-High heels! Anytime I'm sad or upset, a new pair of heels can always save the day!

-It may sound weird but I always love new mascara? haha

-Nishie G's :)

Most women like ice cream or chocolate

I love Greek American Cuisine haha

-New clothes of any kind.

Retail Therapy anyone?

-Quiet moments at the lake! I live for water and seeing as how my house is literally seconds away from a local boat landing that's kind of a well kept secret... you can catch me there anytime I need alone time.

-A good book :)

It's my way of escaping reality for a little while

Book of choice? Anything by Nicholas Sparks at the moment.

It's my goal to have read all of his novels by my birthday next April.

Hair Style: Medium (yay!!) and blonde!

Favorite place to dine out: Chilis (haha) or Nishie G's

Favorite Outfit: Skinny jeans, heels, and a super cute top :)

Love Life: Non existent as of right now lol. But I'm perfectly okay with it. I've made the decision that dating just to be dating is not what I want. I don't want a relationship unless its someone I can be serious with. Been on a few dates here and there but nothing serious....yet :)

Home Life: It's really great! Finally moved into my own place about two weeks ago with my absolute best friend. We've been super close since 7th grade and we've always talked about moving in together one day. I'm so glad we finally did it! I love our little house :) It definitely suits us. 

TV shows: Weirdly enough I'm loving DWTS haha. Other than that I don't really watch too much tv.

Extra time: Lately I've been spending most of my extra time organizing the new house and getting settled in. We've been having some friends over too so that's been great :)

What excites me: What's exciting right now is the fact that it's fall! I'm also loving the football season :) I'm really enjoying the fact that I'm learning how to cook! I'm really loving it :). I'm pretty excited about the holiday season coming up especially since I've got my own place to decorate! I'm excited that my church is getting a new Music Minister and apparently he's absolutely amazing! Now, I LOVE to sing. And I've always felt called to sing in the choir at church. But I wanted to wait until I found "the one". The church is go to is definitely where God wants me right now so who knows, maybe with this new Music Minister the choir thing will work out too! I'm also so happy that I can finally get back involved with the youth at my church. I quit helping for a little while just because I was gonig through some stuff. But the other sunday the new leader walked up to me and asked for my help. And it just felt like that was God's way of saying "GO BACK".

 A moment I never want to forget: The day I sat in Alex's living room and signed my lease :) I cannot imagine the overwhelming joy I felt when It hit me that I had my OWN place! A place that I made the rules. I was responsible for. I paid for. I've worked my whole life to get to this point. I finally have everything I want :) This year I became completely independent of my parents and became a full fledged adult and you cannot even believe how proud that makes me of myself! I'll never forget that moment that I signed that dotted line :)

Southern Folks

"The South; where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter; summer starts in April; front porches are wide and words are long; macaroni and cheese is a vegetable; pecan pie is a staple; Y’all is the only proper pronoun; chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy; everything is darling and someone is always getting their heart blessed."

Well I'm about to get real southern on yall for a minute here.
I was watching The Chew earlier today and something on there struck a nerve with me.
They were having the "country cooking" segment and they all dressed up in flannel, boots, and cowboy hats. they all kept saying "howdy" and "yeehaw" and talking in a suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper stretched drawl and a thick twang. And they all kept making comments about "living on the ranch" and "herding cattle"

Now, I know that it's funny sometimes to stereo type southern people in this way. But that was just too much for me.  I've lived in the south my whole life, and to me, the south is nothing like this. Being southern isn't an accent or a clothing style. It isn't "herding cattle" or "living on a ranch/farm".

Being southern is something classy and simple. Being southern is a way of life. It's about appreciating the simple things that God so graciously blessed us with. It's about loving your family whole heartedly and your friends the same. It's about thanking the good Lord for everything you have in life. It's about saying "ma'am" and "sir", "please" and "thank you". It's about cooking big meals on sunday afternoon after church and then falling asleep on a porch swing and maw maw's house. It's about hunting and fishing. It's about being proud of where you came from. It's about still saying the pledge of allegiance...the right way... and taking your hat off while saying it. It's about honoring the many men and women who have fought and/or died for our freedom. It's about high school football games and tailgating all day saturday to watch your favorite college football team. It's about wearing a smile like it's the greatest accessory you own. It's about small towns and knowing everyone by their first names. It's about good food and definitely fried chicken. It's about bonfires and roasting marshmellows. It's about guitars and good music. It's about the bible being the only law and God the only judge. It's about fighting for what you believe in. It's about sticking together and always having each others backs. It's about not being scared to get your hands dirty. It's about fourwheeling and muddy tires. It's about high heels, pearls, dresses, and camo. It's about barefeet and summer time.

Southern is about community, God, family, friends, manners, love, fun, and sunshine. It's about tailgates, truck beds, bonfires, barefeet, football, and fishing poles. It's about high heels, pearls, ribbons, curls, camoflauge, and cowboy boots.

Yeah we have cows, farms, cowboys, accents, drawls, and a twang. But that's on the surface of southern people. There is a much deeper meaning to being southern.
