W O W !!

It has been far too long since my last blog post!

Sorry about that!

I was at a different branch than my "home branch"

And I wasn't really "aloud" to be on my blog.

But I'm finally home and ready to get back in the groove of things!

I've spent all morning catching up on my reading of some of my favorites :)

And now I can do some updating!

Christmas was fabulous!

Mr. Wonderful came down and spent the whole weekend with me!

Alex was off in Hilton Head with her family for the holidays.

And his family doesn't do anything until the night of Christmas day.

So we spent a lot of time together :)

He's still pretty amazing I must say!

I spent Christmas eve (night) with My daddy's family.

It was a fun time to say the least!

Then Christmas Day sadly Mr. Wonderful had to head back home and I was off for a fun filled day of family festivities. It was so nice to spend time with everyone and catch up on their lives.

I've never shot a gun before and he wanted to go shoot because he's about to go off to Missouri for Army 

duty next week so he wanted to get some shooting in before he left.

I AM SO SLACK

I never ever ever have time anymore to update yall on my crazy little thing called life!

I try to at least read all of my favorite bloggies in my spare time but I'm super slack when it comes to writing my own here lately!

So I'm going to do a quick update and I promise come January when life slows down and I get back into the groove of things at my own branch I will write more frequently.

Work is still fantastic. I've been at a different branch helping out for a while.

The house is awesome! Me and Alex are doing great!

My family is doing well. My little brother and sister are finishing up their first semester and stressing out about exams. Other than that everyone is fantastic!

And as far as the love life goes....

We met through a friend who thought it would be good if we met each other.

Smart people :)

He's 24 and he lives in Lexington.

He graduated from Charleston Southern University with a bacherlors in Criminal Justice.

He has been in the Army for seven years

He also work for Lexington County Sheriff Department.

He's SUCH a sweetheart and a cutie pie too :)

We spend literally all of our free time on the phone or on skype.

And he constantly makes trips to see me or vice versa whenever we can!

I'm pretty excited about him so I'll keep yall posted !

WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO:

Annnnnnyways,

Since we came back from Hilton Head

Alex and I have been super busy around the house and with other things.

She now has a new man in her life and I am so freakin ecstatic for her!

He's such a sweet guy and he's so good to her!

They've been spending so much time together but it's great!

I have been super busy seeing as how I just recently got a new gym membership

at Omni Health And Fitness

IT'S FANTASTIC

Let me just tell you.

The new owner was so helpful working with me to figure out exactly what I needed.

And the trainers are wonderful!

They broke down the basics of excersize and fat and why you need lean muscle

and the importance of strength training and yadda yadda yadda.

It made so much sense to me!

And it motivated me even more.

They even showed me how to correctly do different excersizes and ways to mix it up and do "muscle confusion"

But I'm only meeting with them once a month.

My friend J who you all may remember from this post

and I meet once a week.

And let me just tell you home girl kicks my little booty!

WORK LIFE:

Work has been somewhat different here lately

I temporarily moved over to a branch on the other side of town to help out due to them

being short handed until January.

It's been fine but "There's no place like home"

I miss my home branch!

I love my little ladies I work with and I definitely miss my customers!

Plus all the officers that come in everyday!

Buuuuuuut we wound up getting some extra help over at the other branch

and my home branch had a short in workers so they sent me back home for two days!

OH MY WORD

It feels so good to be back!

And not to mention how happy my coworkers were to have me back.. they missed me :)

And my customers missed me too!

It always makes you feel good for your customers faces to light up when they see  you!

LOVE LIFE:

Well ladies, let's just say love life is getting better :)

"Guy I'm interested in"

is no longer so interesting.

Nothing happened really we just kind of faded off and realized we're better off friends.

Well it's been a few weeks now since this happened and I haven't really been looking.

And that's when "Mr. hopefully Wonderful" happened :)

I don't want to post names or any background info just yet because I want to see where it goes

But girls, he took me out on a date to one of my favorite restaurants

and I literally have never connected so much with someone I just met!

He lives a little over an hour away from me so we can only spend time together on the weekends he has off

But we've been on the phone for hours every night and on skype every night before we go to bed.

So far so good :)

And we're hanging out ALL DAY

this saturday!

I'll keep yall updated on how this goes... but keep your fingers crossed!

HOME LIFE

Home life has been fantastic!

I seriously could not ask for a better roommate!

She's wonderful and she puts up with me and my OCD which is terrific!

We have a blast together.

Her mom is in town this week

(love that woman)

And she is helping us decorate for Christmas which I love!

She bought our Christmas tree for us!

It was adorable!

We all went together like a little family

We're going to finish decorating everything tonight when I get home from the gym :)

Playing Catch Up

Wow!! Sorry it has taken me so long to catch up! So much has been going on  around here lately that its hard to find time to really get any blogging done!

Thanksgiving was amazing. I spent most of my time curling my little sisters hair which was so nice! I love having girly bonding time with her! Then my family and I ate WAY too much as I’m sure most people did. My uncle who thinks he is all knowing at strategic board games broke out the “connect four” and got his butt kicked not once, not twice, but SEVEN times by all of the grandkids. It was truly priceless! I have NEVER beat him so it was awesome when I finally did!

Made my whole night ;)

Anyways I finally got all of the stuff for my “How the glitz stole Christmas” partner and it is in the mail on its way to Texas now!

I’m so stinking excited for her to get what I got her! I put some thought into it and im so proud of myself J

Then this past weekend I spent some much needed R&R time in Hilton Head with my best friend and her family. It was fantastic!

We just hung out at the house and had a few glasses of wine and caught up on life.

Saturday we went shopping at Coligny Beach on the island and I got some super cute jewelry.

Then we went to a local bar/grill to watch the Clemson vs Carolina game. Let’s not talk about that.

Then we went to cheap seats for some drinks and catching up with some friends. All in all we had a great night!

The drive back home was pretty entertaining also. We saw literally 8 wrecks which is insanity!

People cannot drive I’m telling you!

Then this past week we’ve just been spending quiet nights at home doing more of like chore type stuff. Laundry, grocery shopping and cleaning. You know typical house stuff!

Oh and I finally got a gym membership. WHICH I NEED. Cameron Diaz body by April… let’s do this!

I got a personal trainer who is also a great friend, J, and we are going to meet at least once a week. We met or the first time last night, and let me tell you, homegirl kicked my booty!

But I am now on a strict no soda, no fast food, no sugar, no caffeine kind of diet.

And as we are calling it #operationgohard is in full swing!

At the end of it I’ll post before and after pictures so stay tuned for that. It should be entertaining.

I’m also going to keep a journal of the progress I have made which I will post at the end of it also.

Hopefully this will turn out amazing. J is such an inspirational person and I know she is going to put her all into helping me.

Love Life: Non existent as of right now lol. But I'm perfectly okay with it. I've made the decision that dating just to be dating is not what I want. I don't want a relationship unless its someone I can be serious with. Been on a few dates here and there but nothing serious....yet :)

Home Life: It's really great! Finally moved into my own place about two weeks ago with my absolute best friend. We've been super close since 7th grade and we've always talked about moving in together one day. I'm so glad we finally did it! I love our little house :) It definitely suits us. 

TV shows: Weirdly enough I'm loving DWTS haha. Other than that I don't really watch too much tv.

Extra time: Lately I've been spending most of my extra time organizing the new house and getting settled in. We've been having some friends over too so that's been great :)

What excites me: What's exciting right now is the fact that it's fall! I'm also loving the football season :) I'm really enjoying the fact that I'm learning how to cook! I'm really loving it :). I'm pretty excited about the holiday season coming up especially since I've got my own place to decorate! I'm excited that my church is getting a new Music Minister and apparently he's absolutely amazing! Now, I LOVE to sing. And I've always felt called to sing in the choir at church. But I wanted to wait until I found "the one". The church is go to is definitely where God wants me right now so who knows, maybe with this new Music Minister the choir thing will work out too! I'm also so happy that I can finally get back involved with the youth at my church. I quit helping for a little while just because I was gonig through some stuff. But the other sunday the new leader walked up to me and asked for my help. And it just felt like that was God's way of saying "GO BACK".

 A moment I never want to forget: The day I sat in Alex's living room and signed my lease :) I cannot imagine the overwhelming joy I felt when It hit me that I had my OWN place! A place that I made the rules. I was responsible for. I paid for. I've worked my whole life to get to this point. I finally have everything I want :) This year I became completely independent of my parents and became a full fledged adult and you cannot even believe how proud that makes me of myself! I'll never forget that moment that I signed that dotted line :)

Anywho....
This weekend was absolutely hilarious. Very super eventful too I must add

but let me just say.... GO ARKANSAS haha
Clemson had a bi-week so a few good people came over and we watched the Carolina vs Arkansas game and then we watched LSU remain #1 in the nation and stay undefeated when they beat Alabama without ever even scoring a touch down. Talk about an interesting game!

Anyways my weekend can be summed up as this

-friends came home from out of town .... :)
A friend from a while ago was home this weekend and I got to spend some much needed time with him. LOVED IT
-reunited with my friend Ericka and im SO excited about it
She got married and ran off to Florida but shes back home now and I AM SO  FREAKING EXCITED lol
-made up a new "high five" rule
If you can make someone give you a high five five times in one night you get a kiss. LOVE this rule :) lol
-cooked a BANGING dinner friday night... go me :)
sauteed beef tips with peppers and mushrooms. Homemade mashed potatoes, and green beans... yum :)
-made new friends
I met a lot of new people this weekend and loved everyone of them :)
-I definitely smacked some guy in the face for being disrespectful to me ... once again... go me :) lol
lets just say I don't tolerate ignorance and he was being very rude and disrespectful to me, Ericka, and some other friends and I just got sick of it. So I slapped him and walked out. I don't usually feel like being physical is the answer but this guy really needed it and I just happened to be the one to finally do it.
-lots and lots and lots of wings and football!

-finally made our little house feel like a home :)
Alex and I have been in our little humble abode for a little over a week now and we FINALLY got everything unpacked and put away. Everything is decorated and finally has our personalities in it. We made it a home by having a few of some great friends over this weekend :)

A few updates... seeing as how I do have writers block here lately.


Family:
Family life is pretty great :) My nana is out of the hospital and doing great for an almost 90 year old lady! Grammy is doing great too! We had a scare with her health. Doctors thought she might have cancer. And we are proud to report she is in fact cancer free! This week is my Pawpaw's birthday. He's such a wonderful man. He and my Mawmaw married when I was very young, and he took on an entire family. He's been a blessing to all of us. And he loves my grandmother (who is precious to my heart) unconditionally. So we're pretty excited to celebrate him :)

Friends:
Friends are also pretty great! I've been spending a good amount of time with friends and I'm loving it :)
I finally feel happy and content with that part of my life.

Work:
Work is going fantastic! We have opened so many accounts and kept them open! Our bank is running a campaign right now where the branches get a certain amount of money for the amount of accounts we open and so far we have $500 and counting! Oh and not to mention we are the ONLY branch who had exceeded all of our goals for the year! Um high five please?

Living Situation:
WE HAVE A HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!! Okay so a town house but same difference right?
It is absolutely adorable! It has a ton of updates, all new appliances, fresh paint, and it comes with a washer dryer and a grill! Let me just say, I'm in love with the place! I'll post pictures of it once we start getting stuff set up in it!



Oh and did I mention my Tigers are 7-0

Lemonade

Just the other day I was at my cousin Val's house

And her friend SB was over.

She told me about how her boyfriend broke up with her

Because she wouldn't "give into him" if you know what I'm saying.

When she told me that she told him no because she wasn't ready

you can imagine how freaking ecstatic I was!

I told her how proud I was of her for making that decision and it was nothing to be ashamed of.

If anything he should be ashamed for acting so childish.

But she was just so upset because she "thought they'd be together forever"

She is only 14.

Hearing her talk about it, and asking my advice about what to do

made me think about all of my not so lovely ex's.

How  I was "so in love" and how we were going to "be together forever"

And then fate turned and things ended.

And how upset I was every time because I thought life was just over.

But having this conversation with her made me recap on all of them and then think of where they are now.

And truth be told

"some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers"

Is probably the truest statement I've ever heard.

I am so glad it never worked out with me and any of them.

Now, in all fairness, they aren't all bad.

Some of them are terrific people.

Just not for me.

So let's do a slight recap of different guys that I've dated and where they are now.

7th grade is where the "boy craze" started.

All through middle school I would only "date" two guys.

One of which is a "thug" and on drugs.

The other has been in a mental institution.

i kid you not.

Then in highschool in no particular order I dated a few wackos.

One guy was a bit older than me. He now has a baby with a girl who hates him and lives with his parents.

Another guy I dated is strung out on all kind of drugs. He also has a baby by some girl.

Three guys I dated joined the military and are now married.

All three of these are amazing guys and they have gorgeous, sweet wives!

Then there was the psycho who told me he would kill me when I dumped him.

Let's just say that didn't end to well for him.

One of the guys who was a football player "stud' type of guy is now married, working at wendy's, and has a HUGE beer belly.

Oh and another guy I dated has a lovely beer belly he's sporting around too.

Then there's the guy I had THE biggest crush on in 9th grade... He's a hair dresser.

I also dated/liked a few sweet guys.

One of which in particular stands out in my head.

He's an awesome guy and such a sweetie.

He went to The Citadel and is making great things out of his life :)

Then there's the "high school sweetheart"

Let's just say, great guy, not so great together.

Post Highschool I've only had two relationships.

One was a train wreck.

He isn't a bad guy but he is a terrible boyfriend.

He's moved on and is doing great things with his life.

Then there was the engagement.

Bless him.

That man is the sweetest, caring, loving, most amazing man I think I've ever met.

But just something about the relationship just wasn't meant to be.

Needless to say I haven't had very good luck in the relationship department.

But then again if you think about it I have.

They may not have been the greatest but they helped shape me into who I am today.

And I'm so blessed for all the things I've learned about life and about myself through these relationships.

And I'm perfectly happy with where I am now.

I'm glad everything turned out the way it did.

And I made sure to tell SB these lovely stories.

We all shared a good laugh about it but I hope it helped ease her pain as well.

Even though relationships end and we think it's the end of the world and life is over,

God has a reason and a plan behind it.

So just put your faith and trust in him that you'll get through it.

And one day you'll thank him that he let it happen to you.

Let me just start by saying.....WOW what a Monday!
It has been crazy hectic busy at work so far today and the day is only halfway over!
(But I do thank the good Lord for it because that just means JOB SECURITY!)

Anyways, my weekend was ahhhhhh-mazing :)

Anywho, I had an absolutely amazing weekend :)

I could not believe how completely perfect it went!

Friday, RH (new guy) went out again to one of my absolute favorite local restaurants Nishie G's.

Never a disappointment :) I'm pretty sure I have him hooked on it now!

Then we OF COURSE watched Transformers 3, because I mean, let's face it, action packed movie, comedy, advanced robots, and Josh Duhamel are all the elements needed for a perfect movie!

Saturday I woke up at 4 am, again I say, 4 AM. I went to the "Race For The Cure" in downtown Charlotte, raising money and awareness for breast cancer with the Susan G. Komen foundation. It was breathtaking. It was very emotional to see all the women with "survivor" shirts on. And all the participants had tags that said "in memory of..." for lost loved ones and "in celebration of...." for survivors. It was beautiful. At the very end they had a few of the survivors speak and then they had a balloon release. Every survivor gets one pink balloon for every year they've been cancer free. It's amazing to see. I'll definitely be decking out in Pink every October from here on out and participating in it! Later on Saturday RH, J, her bf and I all had a bonfire and roasted hot dogs, it was an AWESOME way to kick off fall!

Sunday, I went and spent most of the day with my daddy's family, man how I love them!

Then later on J, her bf, RH and I all roasted marshmellows :) It was so cute! I always have a blast with them!

I also got some amazingly great news this past weekend! One of my absolute best friends AA told me her lease was running out at the end of October and she was looking to move into a new apartment, which in case you've forgotten, Kristen needs a roommate like ASAP. AA and I tried to move into an apartment together (which we've talked about since 7th grade) but I had an unstable job at the time so we decided to wait it out and she signed her lease for another year. Well now that I have my big girl job, moving out is possible :) So I was talking to her the other day, telling her about how my plans on moving out had fallen through with V. Come to find out, her lease is out after October! I have a four day weekend at the end of October, we already have an apartment in the works and we're moving in together at the end of the month! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited I can't even put it into words!

The good Lord definitely works wonders and I am so blessed for all the good things he is bringing into my life here lately!

I know I know. I'm slack when it comes to writing life updates here lately. What can I say? I'm a busy lady!

Let me just kinda fill you in somewhat on what's been going on.

Love life info...well the last few weekends I've been going on a few dates with this incredible guy :)
Don't wanna introduce him just yet, we're taking things ooooooooooooooober slow just because neither of us want to jump into a relationship that's not going to work. We both want to make sure it's exactly what we want first. But so far so good! He's pretty terrific, but I'll go into that more later on... hopefully!

Friend situation is going pretty great as well! I'm trying to balance my time between them seeing as how I have like four really close friends who, weirdly enough, don't know each other. HA! Anyways, it's just been nice getting more involved in their lives and keeping them involved in mine.
**J UPDATE**
She's doing great! She healed a lot faster than expected. The hole in her chest from the tube is almost completely closed up. All the gashes from the propeller are healed up nicely. Her lung is almost completely back to normal and her ribs are healing wonderfully. She still experiences a little pain and cramping every now and again but that's normal. So she's great! Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers!
**APARTMENT UPDATE**
Well, I'm sad to say that the apartment move is not going to happen. Don't really want to go into it all, but it's for the best. V and I are still friends (of course) so it wasn't anything serious. I'll just say, long story short, neither of us wanted to sign a year long lease. I'm still wanting to move out at some point in time this year so I'm just waiting on God to show me a way to make that happen. I know he has a plan.

Family life, well lets just say that's a huge ball of stress all within itself. I'm not quite ready to go into detail on that one. I will soon though I promise!

Work situation... AMAZING! I don't know how to stress just how much I absolutely love my job! (and no i'm not just saying that in case they read this... lol) I honestly love my job. I do have my moments where I get stressed or angry, everyone does. But all in all I love the company I work for, I love my coworkers, I love the people at other branches, I love my customers, and most of all I love what this company stands for. It's just an amazing place to work. I know I want my long term career to be with this company. I haven't completely decided on an exact position, but I know what I want my next few steps to be so it's great!
